Our model blends live online IB instruction with daily in-person supervision, personalized tutoring, and academic coaching in Rabat—offering a rigorous, internationally respected IB Diploma with the structure and support students need to thrive.
Students enrolled in our hybrid education programme can be confident that they are receiving an IB education that meets the highest international standards. Indeed, our SEK partner school is an award-winning, fully authorized IB Worldschool. IB authorization is a rigorous quality-assurance process that ensures academic integrity and high standards. In addition, SEK is also accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and has received multiple awards for its quality education including the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, El Español Best School in Spain 2025, the Educational Excellence Award 2025 for the Best Programme in Values Education and Students’ Socio-Emotional Care. It's a UNICEF Reference School and the only Spanish school that is a member of Round Square.
Through RTA’s hybrid structure, students benefit from accredited IB teaching delivered directly by experienced IB faculty while receiving personalized academic guidance, Extended Essay mentoring, Theory of Knowledge support, and hands-on CAS support. Beyond academic support, our students have access to a full range of extra-curricular activities including arts, drama, and music workshops as well as sports coaching.

The IBDP Curriculum
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a rigorous two-year pre-university curriculum recognized by leading universities worldwide. Designed for academically motivated students aged 16–19, the programme combines intellectual challenge with personal development, encouraging critical thinking, independent research, and global awareness. Through a balanced study of six subjects and three core components—Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, and Service—the IB Diploma prepares students not only for university success, but for responsible and engaged participation in a rapidly changing world.
How does the hybrid program work?
The RTA–SEK Hybrid IB Diploma Programme combines the academic excellence of SEK International Schools with daily in-person support at Rabat Tutoring Academy. Students follow SEK’s fully accredited two-year IB Diploma through live, interactive online classes taught online by SEK's experienced IB educators, while RTA provides structured study supervision, personalised tutoring, academic coaching, and hands-on guidance for core components such as the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and CAS. Final IB examinations are taken at SEK’s campus in Madrid along with SEK's other students during the month of May of their second year. RTA students reside at SEK's boarding facilities in Madrid for the full exam period - about a month. This model allows students in Rabat to access a world-class IB education while benefiting from local structure, accountability, and individualized support.
